Sustainable development of camelid products and services marketed oriented in andean region

Objective

Objectives of DECAMA are: to improve the system of meat production in Domesticated South American Camelids; to suggest new technologies; to support the development of the meat market and services and the exploitation of meat by products; to develop scientific interchange and technological transfer at every level of the production chain. Project is organized on 4 Work package: WP1, Meat Products, with four sections; Fresh meat, Processed meat (Traditional products, New products and New technologies), Adding value of by products, Relationship between meat and milk production; WP2, Market and Services, with three sections: Market analysis, Certification systems and Sustainability; WP3, Exchange of information and experiences, with four sections: Exchange between all partners involved in the project, Transfer to the industrial sector, the producers and the policy decisions points; WP4, Coordination and evaluation.
