Objective
S&T agreements in force between the European Community and Australia, Canada, China, Russia, South Africa, USA and Israel will be assessed in this study for scientific results achieved, their impact, and the extent of the collaboration and activities resulting more generally in order to draw conclusions as to further needs in the field and make recommendations. The work will involve use of particular criteria in a review and interpretation of the performance of the agreements, assessment of the degree of European and wider integration, the extent of networking achieved, constraints experienced, political implications and the operational efficacy of the frameworks in place. Case studies will be provided as examples where appropriate. Both a final overview report and specific country reports will be produced as deliverables from the study over the twelve month period for undertaking the work.
