KALCIVAL

Objective

The project aims at building a plant to produce 46 kt/year of a new cementitious binder by processing 160 kt/year of paper sludge. The process does not require an external contribution of energy (except for the start-up) because the transformation of the paper sludge into a binder is autothermal. This allows an important energy saving otherwise for making and grinding an equivalent product.L%
