Objective
The aim of the project is to recover waste heat from the glass furnace exhaust gasses and utilize the heat for the glass melting process. The innovative aspect of this heat recovery system is to electrostatically charge the dust pollutants and glass pieces to opposite polarities. In this way the dust pollutants are attracted to the glass pieces causing them to be removed from the exhaust gasses and returned to the gass furnace along with the heated glass pieces. The project therefore combine a heat recovery system with the reduction of environmental discharge.L%
