Promotion of cooperation between Portuguese institutes and scientists of the NIS in different scientific fields

Objective

This programme will promote the scientific cooperation between researchers in the NIS and several scientific institutes in Portugal. This will help highly qualified scientists in the NIS to continue and to expand their activities and break their relative isolation from the international scientific community.

Various scientific fields are covered : research in the field of crystal growth and characterization of II-VI semiconductors; study of electron densities by X-ray diffraction; defect interactions in metallic by positron annihilation methods (PAT's); determination of evolutionary pathways on metabolic level leading to the formation of plant species specific for given regions; implementation of knowledge in some topics in the fields of physics and aerospace; protein glycation and oxidative damage on cataract pathogenesis; study of liquid xenon as a medium for particle detectors and positron emission tomography; potential energy surfaces and reaction dynamics of elementary molecular processes; interface and mesoscale phenomena; dynamical studies of diode-pumped solid-state lasers; photochemistry of quantized colloidal particles especially Q-particles of MoS2; and optical properties of deep levels in SiC.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
