Objective
The joint research will be devoted to the mathematical theory of non-linear phenomena in the mechanics of solids and fluids such as non-linear elasticity, plasticity, visco-elasticity, visco-plasticity and phase transformations. The aim of the investigations is to give correct mathematical formulations of the corresponding boundary and initial-boundary problems, prove the existence of solutions, determine differentiability properties of these solutions and construct converging finite element approximations.
