EFFICIENT START-STOP INTELLIGENT DRIVES WITH ADAPTIVE CONTROL

Objective

The objectives of the research within ESSIDAC can be summarised as follows:

- A highly scientific approach will be employed with the objective of increasing speed of movement and accuracy of mechatronics systems that work in a start/stop regime by the design of efficient intelligent drives with adaptive control. The benefits will come from obtaining efficient drives in the sense of lower energy consumption and lower weight, which also implies lower costs and more reliable systems.
- To improve the performance of current robotics (mechatronics) systems and to introduce robotics in new application fields of industrial interest. It is intended to transfer the results into practice by testing them with pre-competitive demonstration prototypes.
- To provide a forum for the convergence of different points of view in the specific field of MSS with a medium/long term industrial potential.

Another major objective of this proposal is to contribute to the stabilisation of RTD potential by setting up a close cooperation between scientists coming from the CEE/NIS and from the EU. The specific actions that will be undertaken to fulfill such objectives are mainly scholarships, workshops, project meetings, joint publications, and joint patents.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.
