NOVATEC

Objective

To bring together the technological changes being introduced in the sector and the technological needs assessed in other previous programmes such as the Transystemes project (95/A/1035/AND) under the ADAPT programme and the Transactif project (98/A/1026/AND) under the ADAPT BIS.

The objective is to classify technologies of relevance to the road transport sector in Europe on a medium familiar to the end-users.; to compile, adapt and translate documents on programmes funding the introduction of these new technologies in SMEs; to meet SMEs' needs so that they can take part in European programmes; to obtain information rapidly, as the need arises; to raise SMEs' awareness of modern communication environments; to break down barriers to seeking partners; to locate information without interference from outside factors; on-the-spot fact-finding on the new technologies used in the countries participating; to bring SMEs in Europe closer together.
