Economic and Technological intelligence action for SMES In MARitime industries

Objective

The overall objective of ESTIMAR is to inform several thousands of European maritime SMES on the opportunities for Community support funding in R and D fields; and to help them to prepare 35 proposals for projects targeted at their business and technological needs. ESTIMAR will be piloted by industrial main actors of the maritime transport chain (as shipyards and their equipment suppliers) who have defined and structured the R and D priorities in shipbuilding. These actors will be helped by National Contact Points who will complete their knowledge of the European population of maritime SMEs. Specialised Research centres in the maritime field will, together with the industrial actors, assemble and structure the R and D ideas of the concerned SMES, and will organise consortia, in order to allow these SMES to submit the corresponding Exploratory Awards and / or CRAFT proposals.
