Foster the Access to CRAFT measures for Information Technology

Objective

The FACIT objective is to effectively stimulate SMEs to submit CRAFT proposals under the FP5 IST programme. The target is end-user-SMEs in which the use of ICT improves their operative process and their market position. Four trade sectors have been selected (tourism, aerospace, automotive, digital publishing). In order to create their awareness of ICT opportunities, SME's technical needs will be collected and analysed through questionnaires, workshops, and on-site technical needs of 300 SMEs. The main outputs will be a better knowledge of the end-users ICT needs, the SMEs profile likely to be interested in submitting IST CRAFT proposals, and the preparation of at least 20 projects proposals, including 10 CRAFT.
