Objective
The MEDTECH project will be targeted at involving SMEs in 6 European countries (the Netherlands, France, Italy, Austria, Greece and Israel) to consider medical technology transfer and development opportunities. As SMEs play a significant role in the European economy but at the same time they are often week and fully exploiting the results potential and the available technology solutions, the SMEs need therefore adequate targeted technical support.
MEDTECH aims:
1) To analyse technological problems of the SME' s;
2) Creation of awareness;
3) To carry out technical needs assessments;
4) Partner search;
5) Project financing;
6) Market evolution alert.
The consortium is a well-balanced consortium of consulting firms and national contact points in 6 countries. The overall objective is to involve SMEs, active in the area of medical technology in the Fifth Framework Programme.
