European System of economic and Technological intelligence of the FURNITURE industRy

Objective

The aim of the project is to develop an European system of Economic and Technological Intelligence adapted to the needs of the furniture SMEs management. This will be done through the integration of experiences and activities already developed in some European countries at national level and with different complementary approaches (market, technology, competitiveness). Technology institutes, enterprises, industrial federations and IRCs will co-operate in order to develop this innovative information system. It will be tested in the participating SMEs, which are representative for the European furniture industry (suppliers, manufacturers and distributors). The results of the pilot project will be disseminating to other European regions through established networks (IRCs, networks of research institutes etc,).
