Microsystem awareness and dissemination (and business development)

Objective

This proposal has twin objectives. The first is to increase the use of microsystems technology by promoting awareness and dissemination on how to access Europractice services. The second is to provide assistance to microsystems (MST) service providers in becoming more commercial and to provide a resource for an EC call for MST "start-ups".
Several presentations/exhibitions/workshops across Europe; 8 issues of MST News and several journal articles; a focal point for PR activities producing at least 12 multilingual press releases; a world-class-web-site for Europratice and also for supporting sub-contractors; and dissemination through existing promotional channels will be exercised.
Development of three strategic and three self-funding "demonstrator" plans; representation and web-based feedback from international standards (IEC) meetings; organisation of five major "all service provider" meetings. Assistance to put three major commercial deals in place and support for an "MST start-up" call from business plan through to the venture capital stage is included.
