Electronic commerce in the cannery industry

Objective

The main objective of e-canned is to demonstrate the advantages of e-commerce for the cannery sector. Within the frame of this wide defined aim the main objectives are to reduce cost and time that canneries have for frozen storage of primary resources and to provide them a broader offer.

It is also an objective of e-canned to increase the customers and of sales of the canneries by creating a virtual mall and selling their products via Internet. With a broad and targeted dissemination of the proceedings and results of e-canned the aim is to gain more users. Another objective is a clear documentation of a concrete business case of a cannery.

The global objective of e-canned is to raise awareness of the possibilities that new technology has in store for the European industry.
