Objective
IMAPS-Poland, established in 1982, is an independent, non-profit organisation. It is a part of the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS, formerly ISHM) which is dedicated to the advancement and growth of the use of microelectronics and electronic packaging through professional and public education, and dissemination of information.
The members of IMAPS-Poland Chapter come from technical universities, research centres and electronic industry all over the country. A few members come from the neighbouring countries (Ukraine, Lithuania). There are 115 individual members and 10 corporate members. Every year the chapter organises technical conferences and seminars. These meetings give an opportunity to presetting latest research achievements, discussion and exchange of information, and are beneficial to researchers, designers and producers of electronic equipment and devices. Those who take most of it are polishing SMEs. Lately, professional development courses and tutorial courses for students have been introduced to the meeting programme. Until now 25 technical conferences of ISHM/IMAPS-Poland Chapter were held. IMAPS-Poland is the editor for the Proceedings of the Conferences, and takes care to provide their members with professional magazines such as : Advancing Microelectronics, Microelectronics International and proceedings coming from conferences carried by other IMAPS Chapters.
