Intelligent Networking of Dynamically Interrelated Actors

Objective

India will develop and test a methodology and an Internet based service, to transform the structure of a traditional company (Constellation Driver) value chain, from a sequence of activities involving a limited number of partners to a dynamic organisation with constellation of enterprises. India will support the CD to move from bilateral to flexible relations to take fully advantage from increased competition between the participants. India will create a network of actors that will dynamically and seamlessly react to the CD actions. India platform will be based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Languages Processing (NLP) and Information Retrieval (IR) technologies. India will include e: analysis of the requirements, design, development and testing of the software platform and identification of the India methodology. The methodology and the platform will be validated by a company working on the EU market and its supply chain.

Objectives:
India is aimed at the identification of a methodology and of a Internet software platform to:
- make more dynamic and seamless the relations in the value chain of a traditional industrial company;
- to increase competition between the actors participating in each phase of the supply chain. That will allow to improve flexibility with respect to market demand, (as Cd orders can be satisfied by the most suitable combinations) and will allow the CD to have a pro-active role with respect to the market, as the CD will be finally aware of what can be done at each step of the supply chain.

Work description:
India will be developed by a well balanced consortium including Universities, technological partners and users. The India project will foresee the following technical phases:
1-System requirements, in which the requirements of the CD and of the constellation members will be ascertained and analysed;
2-Software platform design, aimed at designing the ICT infrastructure that will support the constitution, operation and adaptation of the constellation;
3-Software platform development and testing aimed at realising the ICT infrastructure that support the constellation activities;
4-India methodology, aimed at defining the guidelines to apply when constituting, operating and adapting a constellation;
5-The pilot cases, including all the activities aimed at testing the feasibility, usability and usefulness of the India system and methodology.Three additional activities will be carried on horizontally in the project:
- Management to co-ordinate the activities in the course of the project;
- Dissemination and Exploitation, to spread the results achieved in the project and to establish the condition allowing the exploitation of the results.

Milestones:
India will provide as major outcomes:
i) a methodology, leading the CD to create and manage a constellation of users;
ii) a software platform providing specific Internet-based functions that help the CD in the constellation constitution and constellation operation phases.
Four milestones are identified:
M1 after 6 months (system requirements, and platform overall design);
M2 after 12 months (software platform detailed designed, preliminary methodology, exploitation agreement);
M3 after 19 months (software platform developed, pilot cases prepared, advanced version of the methodology);
M4 after 27 months (final methodology and software platform, final exploitation plans).

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
