Objective
The METEORE 2000 PROJECT will specify, design, prototype novel, open micro-payment system architecture for e/m-contents services that will be tried-out on an operational mobility portal. The prototype will integrate basic state of the art building blocks: a core open micro-payment technology for e/m-contents commerce, mobile Web state of the art technology (WAP, GPRS, UMTS), data transformation techniques for multiple terminal access representation based on abstract models using XML.
The innovations are:
1) the combination of these elements to deploy a novel open architecture
2) the introduction of an inter-mediation protocol between core micro-payment systems for global scalability
3) the business model that breaks the current "all free content" business model.
The demonstration mobility portal, providing location dependent services to the end-users, will be tested on a sample population in Italy.
