Objective
The goal of the Project DESIGN FOR THE HUMANIZATION OF TECHNOLOGY is to develop a study/analysis of the concept of office space, no longer interpreting it as an aggregation of separate functions, but as a series of social and productive "interrelations", with the objective of providing furniture manufacturers with suggestions for new ways to confront the challenges posed by changes in communications technology. By calling together experts, design centres, universities, technology producers and furniture manufacturers, our discussions will produce concrete examples of how to improve the quality and humanity of the workplace, comparing various solutions to the problems created by new technologies. HUMANTEC is a thematic network, which is open to new members. This project will take place under the direction of an International Scientific Committee and will develop first through local meetings, then over the Internet, and finally in an international convention that will facilitate the widest possible diffusion of the project's goals and results.
