Mobile Location Technology and Applications Workshop

Objective

The objective of the Mobile Location Workshop is to distribute the latest information on mobile location technology and applications to managers, administrators, researchers, hardware/software designers and other professionals in the field. Mobile location technologies offer enormous possibilities for new wireless services and applications. Envisaged application areas range from emergency services (e.g. E112/E911 services) to commercial end-user services (e.g. -yellow pages-), corporate services (e.g. fleet management) and network optimisation (e.g. location-aided network planning). The workshop addresses all key areas related to mobile location technology and applications. It also covers policy, regulation and standardisation issues, which have a key role to play in the introduction of operative systems and services.
