Reliable Innovative Sofware for Embedded Systems

Objective

The objective of the project is to support the development of embedded reactive SW, in particular for cars by providing:
. concepts and methods for these developments of such embedded reactive SW.
an integrated toolset supporting the concepts and the method, covering the development lifecycle of such embedded reactive SW. It relies on synchronous techniques both for the behaviour of application and for the middleware.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The project will mainly consist in the following 2 groups of tasks :
1) DEFINITION OF THE METHOD The method will cover at least the following activities:. Requirements definition and traceability management. Mapping from control engineering models to the corresponding models for software. Formal specification and design of the software, combining event triggered and time triggered dynamics. Mapping functions to the architecture. Implementation on top of the middleware
2) DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOOLSTo support the method, the tool chain will provide the following functions:. Requirements capture. Traceability management over the lifecycle. Configuration Management over the lifecycle. Translation of the imperative features from Simulink to synchronous software models. Detailed software specification and design, combining event triggered and time triggered dynamics. Function to architecture mapping. Configuration of Synchronous Middleware for the target. Code generation for the target

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
