In-situ generation of chemicals for improved treatments of oil and gas wells

Objective

The goal of this research project is to devlop novel high performance chemical treatments for oil and gas wells. These will be based on in-situ production of specific chemicals to achieve specific effects within the oil or gas bearing rock formation. Research is required to : - develop systems for in-situ production of the desired chemicals; - test these new systems in specialised laboratory rock core testing equipment; - model field tracks using oilfield simulation software.
