Objective
The results of the project show, that NOx emissions of wood chip grate furnaces can be significantly reduced by primary as well as by secondary measures. Laboratory experiments, measurements on practical furnaces, and model calculations made it possible to develop prototype components for NOx reduction which have been successfully tested and are ready for practical application. Exploitation of the results has already started in cooperation with industrial partners. Some of the developed technologies have been applied in practice in the meantime.
