IMPLEMENTATION MAINTENANCE AND PROMOTION OF THE EDILIBE/EDITEUR STANDARDS SETS

Objective

IMPRESS aims to support implementation of electronic data interchange (EDI) standards in the book sector by maintaining an already researched EU EDIFACT message set. The project will be run by a Pan-European book sector EDI group using experienced consultants to perform technical tasks with expert working party guidance. Maintenance and promotion of the message set will be supported by implementation group servicing, help desk, e-mail and Internet facilities, with revision as appropriate to meet changing user demands. IMPRESS is expected to promote the success of EDI in the pan-European library-bookseller cycle.
