Objective
To develop a rehabilitation approach in relation to open dump sites, with a view towards leading to sustainable urban land management, and to actualise this approach in three pilot cities. The results foreseen include the development of a replicable technical approach, the preparation of detail design and contract documents for each pilot city, the dissemination of knowledge via networking and publications, and the development of proposals on the improvement of the pertinent legislative framework.
