Objective
The objective of this project is to complete the development of an Official modular Community Confirmatory Method for the detection of beta-agonists in animal feed. The first part of this work has been carried out in the BCR extraction testing study - clenbuterol and salbutamol in animal feed (1991 - 1992). The results of this experimental work are available since July 1993.
The work programme contains two main parts. The first part will involve a clean-up and an end-methods testing study. Upon the basis of both studies and a previous one (the extraction testing study), a candidate official Community Confirmatory Method will be proposed. In the second part, a 2nd intercomparison will be carried out in order to finally validate the candidate official Community Confirmatory Method.
