Implementation of innovative Geothermal techniques through Installation Of Injection Well For Significant Improvement O

Objective

The district Heat supply system in Mako, a small town in the southern part of Hungary, which includes one thermal water well and two heating plants, supplies consumers with an overall heat demand of about 7 MW. Subject of this project is the modernisation and extension of the geothermal heat supply system using new technologies for the re-injection of cooled thermal water. The modernisation of the district heat supply system will be adjusted to geothermal energy use and guarantee a high energetic efficiency. In this way, the operator of the plant will be able to run the geothermal heating plant efficiently and produce heat in an environmentally benign way. This action is based on the Feasibility Study, which was submitted under THERMIE B of the 4th Framework Programme of the EC (project no.: SME-1555-97-DE). In Particular, the results of these actions will be important for the Eastern European countries, since the geological conditions and technical supply concepts are similar.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
