SOLENOID VALVE FOR SCSSV'S CONTROL - HIGH ENERGY FIELDS

Objective

Long duration tests in sea water environment for a solenoid valve designed to control Surface Controlled Subsurface Safety Valves (SCSSV) to be installed into a subsea well producing high pressure and high temperature hydrocarbon fluids from high energy fields.
Long duration tests successfully completed. Synthesis, reporting and technical file updating completed.
From previous experience, design of the solenoid valve to control SCSSV able to hold 15000 PSI/180 deg. C hydrocarbon fluids in subsea producing wells.
Manufacturing of solenoid valve and preparation of test bench for long duration tests in sea water condition. Test procedure is representative of field operation for the tested equipment.
Results of the tests will lead to introducing a fully operational solenoid valve which is requested by Oil Companies for developing high energy fields and improving the percentage recovery of proven hydrocarbon reserves.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
