Objective
The principal objective is for the contractors of the project to refine those methodologies of the Forbairt Technology Transfer & Partnership Programme Service Delivery Manual which provide for the assessment and needs of SMEs in promoting innovation management.
- A related objective is to identify innovation management techniques which contribute to the process of introducing innovation through technology transfer and partnership arrangements.
- A further objective is to develop a service delivery/best practice manual which meets the needs of each of the partners involved.
- A fourth objective is to ensure the successful dissemination of the practices identified in the project internally with the contractor organisations, to clients of the organisation and to an audience of organisations within the EU and contractor countries who work in this area.
The primary output from the project will be a best practice manual adapted for use in each of the partner's areas of activity. The manual, and the philosophy which underpins it, will also be disseminated widely throughout the EU to both public and private organisations with a role in the area of innovation management with particular reference to innovation through technology transfer and partnership arrangements.
The process will also result in closer links between the contractor organisations in implementing the project. It is intended that they will be built on when the project is completed to further refine and develop innovation management techniques in SMEs.
In addition, 60 companies in 4 countries will be brought through the process involved in this project. All will be companies with little or no previous exposure to the process.
Finally, the consultants and other participants in the project are expected to improve their skill levels.
