Objective
Life expectancy in Europe increases steadily. This leads to an increase of age-specific diseases. To this category come among others diabetes and venous insufficiency. These ailments are a concomitant of difficult to cure wounds. Extensive wounds can be caused by diseases such as diabetes and venous insufficiency as well as by accidents e.g. burns, dirt tattoo etc. Goal of the proposed project is the development of a device to clean extensive wounds b using a mild water jet which can be used from cutting over to rinsing, washing or stimulating a wound. It will have an integrated shielding and exhauster system in order to avoid contaminating the environs. The complete unit must be compact designed and affordable to normal doctors in order to guarantee a most broad exploitation. So that as many sick people as possible can gain the envisaged advantage of the treatment.
