Objective
The Prostate Cancer Trialists' Collaborative Group (PCTCG) is an international group collaborating in identifying and bringing together data from all randomised clinical trials of treatment of prostate cancer. The group is chaired by Prof. F.H. Schroeder, Erasmus University of Rotterdam and the collaboration is coordinated by the Biometrics Department. The objective of the collaboration is to obtain the most reliable data in the treatment of prostate cancer by conducting a Systematic Overview of all randomised trials performed in the field. For every study and for every patient included data are collected, processed and analysed centrally. Interim results will be discussed during a meeting of the PCTCG in Oxford, September 2002. New analysis and new questions arising from this meeting will be the basis for publications in prominent medical journals.
