Strategic networks in plant biology (1st epso conference)

Objective

EPSO is proposing to organise the lst EPSO conference "Networks in plant biology" to 1 ) Facilitate the presentation and discussion of cutting edge plant science and the organisation of networks between European scientists with involvement of key scientists outside of Europe; 2) to facilitate the dialogue between representatives of academia, industry, consumers and politics on socially relevant topics. EPSO will use its resources via its 34 academic member institutes, observers from consumers (BEUC) & industry (e.g. EuropaBio), links to the life scientists as ELSF member and complement these with EC funding. The resulting conference abstract booklet will be displayed on the web. A strategic recommendation document on future science & interaction of activities will be sent to the EC, the European Parliament, and national governments in and outside Europe. This action contributes to better coordinate EU 'ERA) R&D resources and activities.
