Objective
TT-BRAIN provides new educational tools to explore synergies between neuroscience and IT, imaging expert-knowledge in spatial and dynamic hypermedia, providing better understanding of nervous system and mechanisms. To reduce this knowledge to manageable units, TT-BRAIN connects European neuroscientists and media-producers to concentrate expert-knowledge into dynamic 3D brain-animations. Extra-information are linked to the brain-model (charts, texts, glossary, tutorials, etc.) taking into account interdisciplinary user-profiles. Stored in an open-source database, modules are updateable. Quality control will be achieved by 'peer review'. In further steps brain-related science-areas (e.g. neuroinformatics) are connected to the same 3D brain. Using common metaphors will enhance interdisciplinary understanding. Interdisciplinary sensitivity will enhance reciprocal understanding, inspiration flow, and European long-term-development.
