Brain plasticity and learning based therapy (BRAIN REHABILITATION)

Objective

Neural rehabilitation after brain damage is a priority in the V Framework Program of Quality of Life for its socio-economical aspects. To plan adequate therapeutically strategies, it is of basic importance to study the mechanisms on how activity shapes the wiring of the brain during development, in the mature brain and during ageing. The problem is closely associated to that rose by the effect of the environment on the construction of the brain. This issue is fundamental for the educational problem and for the corrections of possible disorders later in life. To this aim, we plan to organize a meeting where we'll bring together scientists working in the field of molecular and cellular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity with clinicians working with rehabilitation strategies.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
