Objective
Many scientists do not communicate their work well to non-scientists, but this is important in a society where 'Dolly' and 'GMO foods' have become popular symbols for the protesters of self-evident 'evil'. Sustainable scientific progress can only be achieved if public perception is not against the research area. And public perception is sensitively depending on the understanding of scientific processes and results. This workshop is to give scientists the ability to be lucid and persuasive to any audience. The teaching staffs of this workshop are respected science filmmakers and journalists who have won major Science Writing Awards. The workshop is intensely practical and the participants will make real presentations to industrialists, the media and a public with a strong 'anti science' beliefs.
