Objective
The International Society for Human Values will organise an international conference on "YOUTH AND HUMAN VALUES" from 15 to 18 October 2002 at the Geneva International Conference Centre (CICG), Geneva, Switzerland. 200 delegates including life scientists, social scientists, educators, philosophers, administrators, youth leaders and representatives of civil society will discussant debate issues involving, inter alias, Biotechnology, Health and Ageing, Bioethics, Information Technology, Poverty and Health, Education and Human Values. Plenary sessions and workshops are intended to contribute to better understanding of science, foster dialogue between life scientists and civil society, especially the youth, to gauge public attitudes to life science research and its applications and, to provide guidelines to include life science aspects in educational programmes and curricula.
