Objective
The primary aim of this network is to disseminate the spread of eco-friendly, recyclable food packaging technologies across Europe. The focus of the network is on recyclable food packaging which will ensure the development of safe and efficient packaging and processing technologies to maximise food quality and encourage eco-friendly practices. At present recyclable food packaging is a rapidly developing field which is experiencing continuous technological changes and increases in volume. The project will seek to establish new technologies and practices in the field of recyclable packaging and raise know-how throughout the European industry. This will be achieved by combining the ongoing R&D activities with other initiatives that will embrace education, legislation and technology transfer.
