Objective
The objective of this project is to conduct a 3-day international conference, titled "Key European Research in Food, Nutrition and Health for Life", designed to show case research from Key Action 1 (Food, Nutrition and Health) of the QOL Programme. The conference will include presentations by key personnel from more than 20 different QOL projects. It will provide a new, innovative format including the use of formally conducted, energetic debates on the effectiveness of robotics and robotics and whether food components such as antioxidants and can 'hold back the clock" by reducing the effects of ageing. Lectures will provide insights into the latest EU research on the roles of food in cancer cause and prevention; control of intestinal ailments; foods specifically designed for women' s health, the elderly, and people with eating disorders as well as current opinion on regulatory issues and factors influencing consumer choice.
