Objective
The aim of this project is to develop a closing of a package that will allow the breathing gases to pass through it but not the microorganisms, to avoid its contamination. The pass of the gases will be through the closing of the lid or through a material like a membrane placed in the sealing area. The gas will pass through the closing at a required flow, depending with the breathing of the food. The package will be fully rigid (tray and lid) so it will be capable to contain all sorts of vegetables and fruits minimally processed (fresh-cut) and it will be stackable. It will be possible to re-close it once opened at consumer's home.
