Role of platelet polymorphisms and membrane glycoproteins in clinical outcomes following percutaneous coronary interventions

Objective

Rest enosis is a major problem following coronary angioplasty. Platelets may play a key role, therefore a better knowledge of their function in this process will give us a rationale to optimise the management of patients undergoing coronary angioplasty using newly developed platelet receptor inhibitors.
