Development of strategies for control and prevention of antibiotic resistance in european hospitals (ARPAC)

Objective

This multidisciplinary project aims to understand better the magnitude of antibiotic resistance in human pathogens and to develop strategies to control resistance in European hospitals. This will be done by combining and building upon the expertise of established European projects. The project will gather human antibiotic consumption data; establish antibiotic resistance rates untargeted bacterial pathogens; investigate current guidelines on antibiotic policies and infection control policies and investigate standardisation of methods used to track human resistant pathogens. For the first time, this project will explore the variability of all these individual parameters across a commonest of European hospitals and will model relationships between these consensus conference will define strategies for controlling resistance in hospitals, leading to future intervention trials.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
