Applications of nanobiotechnologies to yeast: optimization of bioprocesses for products of industrial, medical and agricultural importance.

Objective

The goal of this project is to develop Nan biotechnologies in order to exploit information obtained from global gene expression studies. The programme wills the built on the use of reliable, cheap and re-usable micro/macro arrays for high throughput, low-costs screenings. Their technological development will enable to restore the competitive position of European industry. S. Cerevisiae, the only eucalypti for which the complete genome sequence is available and the functions of the genes are being rapidly elucidated will be used to characterize in details regulatory networks on a genome-wide scale. Drawing the integrated genetic and metabolic map of this simple eucalypti will allow biotechnologicalimprovments of many bioprocesses, access to key target genes homology to human genes involved in diseases and systematic screening of new drugs and fungicides.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
