Objective
Coeliac disease may occur in as much as 1 % of the European population. This project aims to develop biosensor systems to:
a) ascertain the genetic predisposition of an individual to coeliac disease;
b) allow serological screening of the population for detection and diagnosis of coeliac disease;
c) facilitate monitoring of the disease in response to a gluten free diet.
