Programmable pulmonary air wave generator with controlled temperature, humidity and air wave frequencies for calibration (AWAFG)

Objective

Asthma and COPD affect 10-20% of the population. For instance, in the US some type of chronic respiratory illness inflicts 26 million inhabitants:(Frost & Sullivan report 1994). These numbers have not been lowered over the passed years. Measurements of Peak Expiratory Flow PEF bad FEV1 are of value in identifying airflow limitation and assessing its degree in epidemiological studies and in clinical practice. Shortly, new electronic pelf meters will become available with improved specifications. These new devices require test equipment, which can provide the required test and calibration facilities. For this purpose a new programmable air flow generator with forced temperature, humidity and air wave frequency control awing is needed, which can offer an extreme large range in air flow rate, temperature and humidity range and air wave frequency variations for medical and potentially other industrial applications. The medical application is directly related to the body pressure temperature saturation bats standard in order to accomplish the arts and errs standards.
