Objective
From abandoned industrial and military sites, pollutants are released into drinking water resources, with their toxicological and hygienic relevance being largely unknown. The present application for an Exploratory Award is to prepare a project proposal comprising pollutant-specific risk assessments for individual substances and complex mixtures of pollutants. There shall be developed standardised substance parameters establishing cleared prospective statements on the identification and elimination frisks for the drinking water path. This will allow more precise statements supporting decision-making on individual cases of rehabilitation measures and to save cost significantly.
