Objective
Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute plans to establish a Crop Improvement Centre for Sustainable Agriculture (CICSA). The Centre aims to stimulate crop improvement for sustainable agriculture through enhance- cement of the Institute capacity in education and high quality research on genetic crop improvement, biotechnology and germplasm conservation. It will be integrated with the European Research Area, foreign and domestic research institutes and Universities, plant breeding companies and commercial enterprises through conferee- cess, workshops, short/long term visits and networking on genetic resources. The scientific information will be disseminated through presentations at fairs, meetings, workshops and mass media. Centre of Excellence will build up networking activities between Polish scientists and leading research centres in EU countries and will enhance involvement of PBAI in joint European research programs.
