Objective
At the current state of art, no integrated framework for evaluating multiple impacts of investment projects in the context of sustainable development for the mountain Mediterranean areas is available. This research will produce such methodological framework to support ex ante and ex post investment evaluation and monitoring decisions. The framework will integrate tools (indicators) through
I) natural resource base and capability evaluation for forestry, grazing, agriculture, wildlife, tourism and water/soil,
II) a social and economic evaluation) an institutional evaluation and
iv) an integrated evaluation based on Multiple Criteria Analysis and Cost Benefit analysis, where this is relevant. The evaluation process will be spatially referenced through identification and mapping of meaningful spatial entities at the appropriate scales for development analyses in five study areas across the Mediterranean region.
