Objective
Sepal has been asked by the EFPP to organise the 5th EFPP Congress devoted to Biodiversity in Plant Pathology. Four main sessions are foreseen in order to bring up the state of the art in the study of pathogens and plant response to infections as well as new control strategies preserving the environment and improving the safety. The Congress is aimed also to evaluate the potential of biotechnologies in Support of community policy in the context of sustainable agriculture. The large expected audience (ca.500 people from 30 countries) gives the opportunity to organise a concluding panel session on the Highlights of the European research for a friendly development and integration of technologies. A book of abstracts and the proceedings of the Congress will allow the information of scientists. The final resolution will be disseminate throughout magazines, journals and newspapers.
