Objective
The proposed activity is a scientific meeting than will take place in Thessalonica, Greece and last for four days. Its subject will be the Forest research in the South Eastern European (SEE) Countries (Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYROM, Greece, and Turkey) within the context of the EU forest research policy. The main objectives will be to advance the level of understanding of EU forestry research strategy by the researchers of SEE countries and to establish links between SEE and other EU countries. EU research officials, scientific experts and scientists from SEE countries will be invited co participate in the meeting. The aim of the meeting will be to develop a specific work plan which will state the research priorities of SEE countries, the interested scientists, the potential for research cooperation and the exact opportunities to realize their potential.
