Development of an electronic dosage control agricultural chemical sprayers

Objective

The phytosanitary products are basic in agricultural activity. Plagues and illness are hard to control by natural ways. Thus, the application of phytosanitary products is a need. However, an excessive dosage causes irreparable damage tithe crops and a huge environmental impact. There are many conditions that have influence in this dosage it is very difficult to maintain constant the speed of the tractor, if any of the spraying nozzles stuck, the pressure on the others change, the speed of the wind makes dosage on crops variable, the moisture in air affects the efficiency of pesticides and fillisters and the relative movement of the spraying machine and the individual spray elements with regards to the ground and the plants themselves makes the amount of product applied to plantschangeable. All these variables lead to estimated dosage errors. Meantime, little errors in estimation lead to errors in dosage up to%, causing strong environmental impact and decrease of farming productivity. The objective of the project is to accurately control the dosage of phytosanitary products applied to crops developing the most appropriate sensors to measure these variables and the software for the control of the dosage depending on the data received.
