Objective Plants develop an induced systemic resistance (ISR) against pathogen attack after colonisation of the roots by selected strains of naturally occurring bio control bacteria. ISR-expressing plants are sensitised to express extant defence responses at a higher level upon pathogen attack. The role of this phenomenon in the expression of ISR will be investigated.
